President Announces Citizenship Program for Undocumented Spouses of U.S. Citizens

Approximately 550,000 illegal immigrants who have lived in the country for 10 years can apply.

President Joe Biden announced a program that will facilitate citizenship for undocumented immigrants who are married to U.S. citizens and have lived in the nation for at least 10 years.

The president said it is “about keeping families together… about keeping couples together who are married, where one spouse is a U.S. citizen, the other is undocumented, and they’ve been living in the United States for at least 10 years.“

He added, “This action still requires undocumented spouses to file all required legal paperwork to remain in the United States. It requires them to pass a criminal background check. And it doesn’t apply to anyone trying to come here today.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors as they interpret federal laws and enact immigration programs.
  • For U.S. national security and homeland security officials to be diligent in vetting the migrants they allow into the nation’s interior.
  • For believers in Christ to witness to non-citizens about the love and forgiveness of God through Christ Jesus.
